Luca Nichetto was born in Venice in 1976, where his artistic talents were inspired by the famous Murano glassmaking industry that employed many members of his family. After stints at Salviati and Foscarini, he started his own namesake practice in 2006. After a recent move to Stockholm, we asked the designer to share his favorite spots in the Swedish city.

Best Restaurant: PELIKAN

This place has lovely Swedish typical dishes and a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant has a history of more than 100 years. And it is in a beautiful Art Nouveau-inspired place.

Best Bookstore: Konst/ig Books

This library specializes in art, architecture, design, fashion, and photography.

Best Museum: Fotografiska

Every time in this museum, you can find different collections, from the maestri of the white and black to the new talents. Stunning is the rooftop bar with a breathtaking view on the city.

Best Café: A.B.Café.

It’s ideal for a quick stop during a nice walk. The place has a lovely outdoor space that is perfect for relaxing, thinking, or drawing.

Best Place: My Studio

My new studio is a charming pink villa in the middle of the nature, right outside Stockholm center. It was fully completed in May 2022. In its position and the atmosphere, you can breathe there. It helps me and my team to work the best and bring up all the creativity we need.
