"An invitation to sit down, relax, and to take a deep breath. It’s also an invitation to be a little extra you – to not care too much about what others think, to bask in your own uniqueness"
Eikund
Bouclé, shearling, cashmere—tactile materials that beg to be touched can be found wrapping everything from seating to floor coverings and beds. Unexpected and luxurious, these materials invite you to sit and stay awhile while they embrace you in cozy comfort.
Check out our round up of the plush pieces we want to run our hands across.

Eikund
The Fluffy lounge chair from Eikund, a reintroduction of the design that was originally launched in 1954 by Norwegian furniture designer Fredrik A. Kayser. Featured in the Inside Norway booth at ICFF 2022, the Fluffy chair is available in a natural white or black Norwegian sheepskin that is trimmed and shaped by a hairdresser after upholstery.

Carel Woodworks
The Gizmo Low Stool from Romanian brand Carel Woodworks, pairs bouclé with solid oak on a gently curved form.

&Tradition
Little Petra is a petite chair with a big presence: originally introduced in 1938 by Danish architect Viggo Boesen, the chair remains perfectly scaled for the way we live today. “Low to the ground, open and embracing, it embodies the essence of a lounge chair,” &Tradition, who offers the chair, shares.

Armadillo
The Palus rug from Armadillo, created in collaboration with House of Grey, a UK-based design studio. Palus has “an exaggerated weave of marled wool that is felted then twisted at varying weights for rich texture underfoot,” Armadillo explains of their process.

Studio Ahead
The Sheep Bed from Studio Ahead is wrapped in custom merino wool felt from JG SWITZER, a Sonoma-based artisan who works with wool from local Northern California merino sheep.

Michael Javidi
Michael Javidi, a sculptor and boat builder from the North Fork of Long Island, crafted Le Nid, a hanging chair that features steam bent hickory and a sheepskin seat.

Menu
Scandinavian mid-century design aesthetics and Brazilian Modernism meet on the Brasilia Lounge Chair, designed for MENU by Oslo design studio Anderssen & Voll. A striking mix of hard and soft, the chair pairs a robust, solid oak frame with exaggerated armrests, sturdy legs, and plush shearling upholstery.

Woud
A streamlined classic, Woud‘s Lean Lounge Chair is a minimalist interpretation of a lounge chair that pares back everything except comfort. Woven bouclé adds softness and volume without sacrificing the clean design that is Lean.
