Hot on the heels of an acclaimed rebrand, luxury outdoor living leader Danver Outdoor Kitchens will return to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair. On view will be the sleek Ascento, a new collection including a signature outdoor kitchen and a series of outdoor living accessories; the IED student-designed concept, Beyond; and a fresh color story, Primitive, developed with top outdoor fabric producer Sunbrella.
On top of that, Danver’s creative director Daniel Germani will open the fair on an optimistic note by leading the “Rethinking the Art of Living Through Thoughtful Design” panel. Held on Sunday, May 18 at 11:30am, the discussion will also bring together Sunbrella’s creative director, Esther Chang and French product designer, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance. The friends and renowned designers will discuss intentional design and their creative process to create spaces and moments that truly reflect their values, needs, and aspirations.
Ascento combines clean lines and modern simplicity while maintaining the practical, high-performance qualities that Danver is known for, providing a sophisticated solution for elevated outdoor living spaces. The collection showcases sleek, curved corners and integrated handles, offering a minimalist approach to both form and function. The handles are designed with an angled pull ledge at the top of the door, and the curved side panels seamlessly align with the door backs, creating a distinctive accent at the top of the cabinet.
“Ascento’s minimalist design with integrated handles strikes the perfect balance, and we’re excited to showcase its simple yet stunning aesthetic,” said Germani. “And then accessories are all about giving customers more ways to customize their kitchens. We’re most excited about launching into a whole new category with these products.”
Ascento is expected to be available to the market in early 2026. Until then, buyers can have access to its related line of Ascento kitchen accessories and outdoor living products. A new category for Danver launched at KBIS 2025, this collection includes a versatile range of solutions, from wide-sizing drawer dividers and spice rack inserts to perforated baskets, nesting trays, dog bowls, planter boxes, and benches. Each piece is meticulously designed to integrate seamlessly into Danver’s existing product portfolio, offering homeowners the opportunity to create a truly cohesive aesthetic across their entire outdoor kitchen.
In his capacity as a professor, teaching at Milan’s Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), Germani was also instrumental in identifying and advancing a student-developed concept with market potential.
Inspired by nature and deeply rooted in applied arts, Estelle Van de Winckel and Magdalena Herrán merged functionality with aesthetics – blending outdoor ambiance with industrial kitchen expertise – resulting in a concept that showcases a nuanced synthesis of elements seldom explored in outdoor kitchen design. Danver is aiming to launch Beyond in 2027.
“When I first began my work as a visiting professor for the IED four years ago, I immediately recognized what an incredible opportunity it would be for Danver to get a glimpse of how our industry’s future envisions the evolution of outdoor design,” says Germani. “It’s been such an honor to collaborate with Giacomo Bertolazzi, Head of Design School at IED Milano, and Designer and IED Milano faculty member, Attila Veress. I hope this is the first of many collaborations together.”
“Reaping the results of a collaboration that has crossed the ocean in the name of design — based on a strong commitment by our students, the IED faculty and the exceptional mentor Daniel Germani — is a source of great pride for us,” says Bertolazzi. “It’s not a given that a company of Danver’s significance would concretely invest in a thesis project, actively steering its development and bringing it to the industry.”
Last, but certainly not least, in Danver’s dynamic offering at this year’s ICFF is its collaboration with outdoor textile giant Sunbrella. Together, under the guidance of Germani and Chang, the brands devised three sophisticated colorways carrying across outdoor fabrics and paint colors: Deep Earth, Misty Forest, and Frozen Lake, which stem from their shared commitment to innovation and sustainability.
While Beyond will undergo further refinement and release in 2027, Ascento is expected to be available in 2026.
