Based in the Cable Building in downtown Manhattan, the studio draws inspiration from an extensive library of materials, as well as influences from travel, art, fashion, and nature. Recent projects include private residences in Aspen, Bahamas, Cabo, Connecticut, Hamptons, Manhattan, Palm Beach and Seattle. Lonstein’s design philosophy is deeply influenced by his academic background. He holds a Master of Architecture with distinction from Harvard University, where his studies in architecture were complemented by an exploration of fine art. This intellectual foundation profoundly shapes his sophisticated use of color, form, light, materials, and proportion.
Originally from South Africa, Lonstein has worked on diverse projects across Aspen, Bel Air,Geneva, and Tokyo, skillfully integrating local traditions with his distinctive design vision.
