Editors Awards

ICFF and its partners honor outstanding achievements in contemporary design through a dynamic range of awards programs that spotlight innovation, creativity, and emerging talent across the industry. The ICFF Editors Awards celebration will take place on Sunday, May 17 at 5:30 pm on the Main Stage and will be hosted by Design Editor Nic Monisse.

Anna Casotti

Anna Casotti Senior editor for magazines dedicated to design, architecture, and lifestyle, Anna was Editor-in-Chief and Director of MODO, an Italian magazine founded by Alessandro Mendini. She curated the book “Progettare il futuro. Il disegno della materia”, in addition to het academic experiences as a Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Architecture at La Sapienza University in Rome and as a Subject Expert at the Politecnico di Milano. After moving from Milan to Manhattan, she began contributing to the web magazine La Voce di New York, where she launched the column “Design Instinct”, as well as to La Repubblica and other publications focused on design culture. Anna is currently NYC Contributor for IFDM magazine and Senior Editor for POSH magazine.

Antonella Boisi

Architect and journalist, since 1990 part of Interni magazine editorial team, Antonella Bolsi is responsable of the Architecture Section.

Amit Gupta

Amit Gupta is the founder and editor-in-chief of STIR – an award-winning global media house and curatorial agency that is committed to promoting, propagating and fostering creativity and innovation in the fields of design, architecture, and art. A creative thinker, curator and entrepreneur, Amit has worked for over three decades with a motivation to facilitate intersections across diverse creative disciplines and distant geographies while launching pioneering initiatives that propel the creative discourse, practice, and allied industries.

Deborah Martin

Deborah L. Martin is a 35–year veteran of the magazine publishing industry. In 1996, she became one of Hearst Magazine’s youngest managing editors, for House Beautiful magazine. In 2005, she formed her own custom publishing firm, MM Publishing Inc., creating and publishing magazines for luxury hotels such as The Hotel Bel–Air in Los Angeles. She has also been the Director of Editorial Operations at GreenGale Publishing, the Executive Managing Editor for New York Spaces, and the Editor-in-Chief of Downtown Magazine. Currently the Director of Custom Publishing for Aspire One Communications, Martin is the founding editor in chief of Design NYC and Design Chicago. She also serves as the editor in chief of Women Create.

Jaxson Stone

Jaxson Stone (they/them) is a Florida-raised, Brooklyn-based writer, editor, and educator. They joined METROPOLIS nearly seven years ago as a print editorial intern and are now Associate Editor and Researcher, covering sustainable, equitable design—from earthen architecture to neurodiversity. Jax also teaches in the BFA and MFA interior design programs at The Parsons School of Constructed Environments, leading courses in capstone research, writing labs, and design theory. Their work has appeared in Hyperallergic, The Architect’s Newspaper, Crafts, TASTE, and more. When not writing or teaching, they enjoy reading and relaxing with their cat, Prancer.

Julia Demer

Julia Demer is a New York–based Style Editor at Homes & Gardens covering the intersection of fashion and interiors. Her background spans both, cutting her teeth in handbag and footwear design at The Row before her foray into editorial reporting at L’Officiel USA, ultimately bringing her “home” to interiors at Livingetc, where she previously served as Style Editor. For Julia, great style translates seamlessly from wardrobe to home, shaping her take on cross-disciplinary design trends and the moments that define them — from the sartorial spectacle of Salone to canned fish as aesthetic, or the question of why, exactly, Tuscan Revival is back on our dance cards. Julia’s work treats interiors news like an insider conversation about taste. It’s never just about the clothes — or the couch, either.

Julia Haney Montanez

Julia Haney Montanez is the co-founder of The Design Release, a global calendar and editorial platform for design fairs, exhibitions, and industry events. She has worked across design media, fair programming, and curatorial projects in New York, Milan, Brussels, and London.

Leslie Clagett

Leslie Clagett is a long-time design journalist with a specialty – and a passion – for the people and products in the kitchen and bath sector. Before joining KBB, she held senior editorial positions at both consumer and trade publications, including Kitchens & Baths and Arts & Architecture. The founder of kbculture.com, her work has appeared in Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, Consumer Reports, Ellé Decor, Interior Design, San Francisco Chronicle and The New York Times.

Matthew Marani

Matthew Marani is a senior editor at Architectural Record. Previously, he served as program manager at The Architect’s Newspaper and has several years of experience as a freelance writer specializing in urban planning, historic preservation, and architectural technology. Matthew is a born and raised New Yorker and holds an MSc in Architectural Conservation from the University of Edinburgh.

Marie Godfrain

Marie Godfrain is a French journalist and author, recognized for her expertise in design, architecture, and lifestyle. A graduate of the Institut Pratique du Journalisme (IPJ), she has contributed to prestigious publications such as M le magazine du Monde, she is also the author of several books, including works on interior design and the history of decorative arts such as Atelier Vime and taught history of design at ENSCI. Godfrain has worked as a freelance journalist for over two decades, specializing in emerging talents and avant-garde trends in design. In 2025, she was appointed Editor-in-Chief of IDEAT, a leading French magazine focused on design and lifestyle, where she had been a long-time collaborator.

Rebecca Thienes

Rebecca Thienes is the Market Director at Interior Design Magazine. A Brooklyn-based market editor, design consultant, project manager, and writer with extensive knowledge of the latest interior design and architecture products. She studied interior design at Parsons The New School for Design.

Stephanie Chen

Stephanie Chen is a senior editor at Hospitality Design, with a background spanning public relations, entrepreneurship, and storytelling. She began her career in PR across healthcare, data, and digital finance, and later founded a skincare line rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, gaining hands-on experience in product development and branding. At HD, she covers the full spectrum of hospitality, from hotels and restaurants to emerging designers, art, and industry-shaping trends. She is most energized by the people behind the projects, exploring the creative processes that shape the spaces we experience and the products that bring them to life.
