Jon Thorson is the Brand Experience Director at USM Modular Furniture and CEO of USM North America. In this role, he leads a design-forward approach to growth, expanding USM’s reach across a wide spectrum of aesthetics, industries, and cultural contexts.

Deeply attuned to the creative process, Thorson has shaped a dynamic program of collaborations, partnerships, and multi-media experiences. Projects realized during his tenure include work with Supreme, Enric Ruiz-Geli, Snøhetta, Ben Ganz, Devon Turnbull of OJAS, Henry Julier, PIN–UP, Gabriella Khalil, Alexander May, We Are Ona, LOVEISENOUGH, Comme Si, Kasing Lung, Armando Cabral, Kevin Jones, Daniel Arsham, Annabelle Schneider, and Noel Mercado.

Prior to joining USM in 2018, Thorson was a partner at BDDW, where he spent 15 years contributing to the development of one of America’s most respected furniture companies. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, he has lived and worked in New York City since 2003.
