Jonsara Ruth is a designer, educator, and pioneer in sustainable design and material health. She is co-founder and Executive Design Director of Healthy Materials Lab at Parsons School of Design, where she is Associate Professor and Founding Director of the MFA Interior Design program. At Parsons and through her collaborative design studio, Salty Labs, Jonsara leads research and creative initiatives that advance healthier, regenerative environments for people and the planet. She co-edited “Material Health: Design Frontiers” (2023), a notable publication in the field. Her impact is widely acknowledged and has earned honors such as the Women in Architecture Innovation Award from Architectural Record and RISD’s Art & Design Educator Award. Jonsara is a frequently invited guest to media outlets, professional organizations, and educational institutions.
