Emerging design is one of the most important parts of ICFF and WantedDesign Manhattan. It has been a mission of WantedDesign to help emerging designers find a platform to connect with the industry and receive feedback on their work since the brand’s inception.
Launch Pad, which was presented with Design Milk and American Standard this year, is the platform for international and emerging designers to present prototypes and fresh ideas on the show floor.
The program facilitates interaction and relationships between manufacturers and new designers, creating the potential for product development opportunities. At ICFF & WantedDesign Manhattan 2021, a new program coined Emerging Designers Showcase was launched. Through the program, five emerging design studios presented their design concepts to an audience in four minutes, after which they received feedback and commentary by a panel of experts.
